PHENOMENON OF FANDOM WAR IN K-POP COMMUNITY ON SOCIAL MEDIA

This research aims to discuss the phenomenon of fan wars between fans a K-pop group and other groups. Furthermore, it explores reasons purposes this incident among fans, using observation method based on Stuart Hall's Encoding-Decoding theory. will analyze several war cases that occurred some time ago. The results study indicate has ways, like replying each other's comments social media insulting harsh words commonly known as flaming, making tweets bring down idols from videos containing hoax news. interference toxic fandom is reason can happen, selfish nature who wants show their prowess main goal. Ultimately, just form selfishness every toward idol.
